One of the hottest cards in the world, this is a true cornerstone baseball card. Awfully nice for the grade, this almost certainly would have been a 3 or higher a few years back. Very clean, the card has no visible creases or wrinkles, centering is almost perfect top to bottom and is mildly to the right border, which is quite good for a 51 Mantle. The image of Rookie Mantle retains bright color and displays well. The borders are clean, the corners are nearly VG. The back is clean. In our opinion, this card is markedly superior to almost all other 2.5s on this card that trade publicly. Freshly graded and new to the hobby, this is a fine looking example of a most vital card.
