Listing Details

A truly prized baseball, offered is a special official Japanese Elementary model. Evenly toned, this ball offers seven visible signatures. The autographs vary in darkness, some are quite faint. The ball is saved however by a very solid Babe Ruth on the sweet spot. There is a mid-grade Lou Gehrig by the top of one panel, as well as signatures from Jimmie Foxx, Lefty O'Doul, Moe Berg and Earl Averill. In today's market, the Ruth alone as a single signed ball would probably sell in the $7,500 plus range. We feel this one is so much more charming based on the historic nature of the event, the ball itself and the additional signatures including Lou Gehrig, Jimmie Foxx and Moe Berg. This ball would be a very shrewd addition to any quality vintage signed baseball collection. JSA LOA (full).
