Listing Details

Offered is a truly remarkable item, this is a 4.5 x 7.5 print of a composite photo of the 1878 Boston Red Stockings Baseball team. Mounted onto board, this comes with a typewritten page with all sorts of wonderful detail about this Championship team. What makes this very special is that it is signed by vital early baseball HOFer George Wright and team member John Morrill. The signatures are both in the top margin in solid black fountain pen ink. It is almost profoundly rare to find the signature of George Wright (D'1937) on any type of image, he is almost exclusively found on documents. The signature of John Morrill (D'1932) is also a terrific thing to find on a team image. Remarkable item, if you collect Hall of Famers on signed photos, you will want to take a long, long at this true treasure. Superb. JSA LOA (full).
