Not a bad set at all, these have been finally getting the respect they deserve in recent years. Filled with a neat run of umpires and many classic HOFers and stars, this is a very evocative set, the final Bowman issue. The offered set varies in grade, and can be simply upgraded if desired. The condition is about 50-65% VG-Ex, the balance is mainly VG, with some Goods. The high numbers are solid, the umpire run is among the high points of the set. The key Mantle card grades Good due to a substantial crease but it retains excellent color, rich brown borders and otherwise fine eye appeal. The key cards grade as follows: 1 Wilhelm VG-Ex, 10 Rizzuto VG-Ex, 22 Campanella VG, 23 Kaline VG+, 37 Reese VG-Ex, 59 Ford Good, 68 Howard RC VG-Ex, 103 Mathews VG+, 134 Feller GVG, 168 Berra VG, 179 Aaron VG+, 184 Mays VG, 202 Mantle Good, 242 Banks VG-Ex, 265 Barlick RC VG+, 267 Honochick RC VG-Ex, 283 Chylak Ex, 303 Conlan RC GVG and 315 Hubbard VG+. In short, this is a perfectly acceptable low to mid-grade 55 Bowman set that displays well.
