Listing Details

T206 Ty Cobb cards are beloved by vintage card collectors and trade all the time, but HARDLY EVER with a back as rare as a Lenox. A supremely desirable card, this is freshly slabbed and simply gorgeous for the grade. The card originally came from a world class Boston-area card collection assembled by a Harvard alum and has been resting in a safety deposit box for over twenty years until now. Beautifully centered with outstanding color and image quality, this is a card that really pops when held in hand. The borders are clean and white, they show mild and consistent wear. The card has one small crease by the upper right corner. The back shows the same crease and has some subtle paper residue from scrapbook removal. This is EXTRA paper, there is no paper loss, something tells me this is something that will be addressed by a future owner of the card! Either way, the vital back displays quite well as offered. In terms of rarity, there are just sixteen total sales on VCP going back 20 years! There has just been one sale in the last four years (a PSA 4 for $99,000 on 8/2023. One of the great Ty Cobb cards, who wants to instantly bring their collection to another level with this amazing card.
