An underrated card of a truly historic player, this is perhaps his best card. It always amazes me that many people refer to the 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle as a Rookie Card, but never the Mays! The offered card is very desirable as it has outstanding centering and gorgeous color. The offered card is among the best centered examples of this card that we have ever handled. This exemplar has four clean white borders, rich color and a superb image. There are no visible creases or wrinkles, even under magnification. The corners exhibit mild and consistent wear, this is truly an ideal card for the grade.
