Fresh to the hobby, this ball has a great story to it. A long-time collector did business at a bank and told the people who worked their about his hobby of collecting baseball autographs. A teller at the bank was apparently a relative of Jackie Robinson and brought the collector this ball as a gift. Fresh to the hobby, the ball itself is a pretty clean ONL Giles model with only slight toning and general wear, JSA notes on the LOA that there is some unexplained abrasions but we do not believe anything nefarious went on here. The ball is signed Best Wishes Jackie Robinson in his usual spot on a side panel. We graded this a 5/10, our grade may be a bit conservative here. The signature is plainly visible if a touch light, it is not bad at all. A rare and super desirable single signed ball from this giant of baseball history, this is perfect for someone who does want to spend tens of thousands (or more) on a high grade Jackie single.
