One of the rarest single signed baseballs one may see, offered is a rough OAL Johnson game ball from the 1915 era. An official ball, this saw lots of use in a game and exhibits extensive wear. Signed by umpire Silk McLoughlin on the sweet spot, it is dated 1915. The signature has wear as well, but is certainly legible. A supremely rare signed baseball, almost certainly the only one in existence, O'Loughlin died in 1918 from the Spanish Flu. O'Loughlin was an American League umpire from 1902 - 1918, he worked five World Series, including 1915, the year this was signed. Fine ball.
