Listing Details

A grand piece from the 1920s, this is from a large format book with 32 pages. Each team received two full pages, there are are card-style images of six players per sheet, so twelve per team. Absolutely loaded with HOFers, these include Babe Ruth, Miller Huggins, Herb Pennock, Walter Johnson, Sam Rice, Wilbert Robinson, Dazzy Vance, Zach Wheat, Kiki Cuyler, Max Carey, George Sisler, Ross Youngs, John McGraw, Bill Terry, Hughie Jennings, Frankie Frisch, Branch Rickey, Rogers Hornsby, Frank Chance, Grover C. Alexander, Ed Walsh, Ray Schalk, Connie Mack, Al Simmons, Casey Stengel, Ty Cobb, Harry Heilmann and Tris Speaker. The condition varies, some pages have lots of wear, others are much cleaner. These are truly rare and important given the era and the almost unbelieveable HOF content (we did not list them all). A grand and exciting lot with endless display value, this is the kind of item best appreciated when held in hand, the winning bidder should really enjoy this fabulous, important and rare card set from a golden age in baseball history.
