Large collection of vintage Boston Red Sox photographs, these date from the 1930s through the 1960s. The vast majority are news photos, with many originating from the Sporting News Archives as noted by the special hologram label affixed to the reverse. Also included are many photos bearing the credit stamp of renowned Chicago baseball photographer George Burke on the reverse. Notable players featured in the collection, many more than once, are Jimmie Foxx, Joe Cronin, Bobby Doerr, Dom DiMaggio, Lefty Grove, Bobo Newsome, Doc Cramer, Denny Galehouse, Jim Bagby, Herb Pennock, Mace Brown, Boo Ferris, Don Gutteridge, Rudy York, Jimmy Piersall, Frank Malzone, Dick Radatz, Tony Conigliaro, and Rico Petrocelli. The sizes range from approximately 5x7? to 8x10?, with the majority measuring 7x9? or 8x10?. Very Good condition overall. Please note that none of the photos have been submitted to PSA for evaluation, so no guarantees are made regarding specific Type designations.
