Listing Details

Offered is a truly unique bat, this is a clean Carney Lansford cupped pro model R43 model from the 1980s. This must have been what someone had in hand at the circa 1983 All Star Game, as someone got hold of 1934 players Bill Dickey, Charlie Gehringer, Lefty Gomez, Carl Hubbell and Bill Terry. All five players signed the bat, Gomez wrote a wonderful note detailing Hubbell's historic feat of striking out five batters in a row, including Ruth, Gehrig and Foxx. Terry wrote that we was the manager of the National League team in 1934 and Gehringer wrote the longest note of all, detailing the game also including Hubbell's historic feat. It would be hard to imagine that there is another one of these around, this is simply a creative and wonderful signed bat that chronicles one of the greatest feats in all of baseball history by Carl Hubbell.
