Extremely desirable and wonderful piece, offered is a type one photo of perhaps the greatest pairing of pitcher and manager in baseball history. After stealing Christy Mathewson from the Reds (one of the worst trades in baseball history), Matty and McGraw formed one of the great partnerships in baseball history (1900-1916, four World Series Championships), despite completely different backgrounds and temperaments. The offered photo has these two in black uniforms, it is circa 1911 according to the PSA LOA. Possibly from a World Series, we are told that the Giants only wore this uniform for World Series appearances. The photo itself measures 4 x 4.25 and is ideal for slabbing or to use as part of a framed collage if one desires.
