Listing Details

Offered is one of the most charming and interesting baseball memorabilia produced during the Golden 1920s. The National League made a big deal out of it's 50th anniversary, we believe that this item was given away at a special dinner. In the original box, the top is engraved Golden Jubilee National League Feb 2, 1926. The inside contains two Official Spalding cork center National League baseballs. One is unmarked, the other has 7/8 of an inch diameter images of the five league Presidents: Morgan Bulkeley, A.G. Mills, N.E. Young, Harry Pulliam and T.J. Lynch (it is missing the last two, Tener and Heydler). The balls themselves exhibit some slight general wear as does the box, everything has a perfectly fine and attractive vintage look and feel.
