Listing Details

One of my favorite pre-war items, offered is a great pair of uncut 12-card sheets of 1941 Play Ball baseball cards. Issued on thinner paper stock, these actually have better color and image quality than the standard issue cards. This matched pair is truly exceptional, with hardly any wear, no creasing, crisp edges and clean backs. It is amazing that these still exist between the age, inherent fragility and value of these as singles in slabs. We hope the winning bidder will enjoy these as created. The value here is tremendous as there are no less than nine HOFers. Headlined by a vital Ted Williams card from his historic .406 season, the other HOFers are Foxx, Greenberg, Ott, Hubbell, Vaughan, Gehringer, Ruffing and Cronin. Great item.
