Interesting ball, the 1939 Yankees were the first team in baseball history to win a fourth straight World Series. 1939 was sadly Lou Gehrig's last season, and these balls are notorious for major, major clubhouse issues. The offered ball is the first one we have ever seen or handled with no clubhouse autographs. There are 20 pleasing signatures on this medium toned ball. The autographs include HOFers DiMaggio, Ruffing, Gordon, Gomez, Dickey and Combs. The other signatures include Chandler, Crosetti, Dahlgren, Henrich, Keller, Murphy and Powell (D'1948 at age 40). JSA LOA (full).
