Nice 1953 Topps set, someone took great care in assembling a solid, consistent and attractive mid-grade set. This collector was on a budget, so three of the top cards are below the rest of the set. The high number run is nice, there is only light condition variance, this is a smartly assembled set for the grade. We rate the many key cards individually as follows: 1 J Robinson VG (no creases), 27 Campanella VG-Ex/Ex, 37 Mathews VG+, 54 Feller VG-Ex, 61 Wynn VG-Ex, 76 Reese VG+, 82 Mantle GVG (very slight stain, no creases or wrinkles), 86 Martin VG-Ex/Ex, 104 Berra VG, 114 Rizzuto VG-Ex/Ex, 147 Spahn Ex, 207 Ford VG-Ex/Ex, 220 Paige Good, 225 Shantz Ex, 228 Newhouser GVG, 242 Silvera VG-Ex/Ex, 244 Mays Good, 258 Gilliam RC Ex, 263 Podres RC VG-Ex/Ex, 265 Jensen VG, 270 Stephens Ex++, 273 Haddix RC Ex trimmed and 280 Bolling RC VG-Ex/Ex.
