Assembled by a collector with incredible patience and a great eye, this was his pride and enjoy. Collected over many years with centering to the top consideration, this is a special lot. We only did 20 cards as singles, the Mantle came back an 8, others came back 7s through 9s. As nice a raw 1964 Topps near-set as one will find in today's market, the lot comes with thirty-four freshly grade cards from PSA with tough grades. These cards include: 35 E Mathews A, 55 Banks 6, 103 Curt Flood 7, 167 Pinella RC 6, 175 B Williams 7, 177 Killebrew 4, 182 Yaz/Schilling 5, 244 LaRussa RC 4, 371 Howard 7, 429 McCarver 7, 476 R Carty RC 7, 540 Aparicio 6, 547 Hodges 7, 567 Kaat 7, 570 Mazeroski 7, 586 Piersall 8. In addition, the lot has these 8s: 58, 170, 421, 455, 475, 503, 505, 520, 556 and these 7s: 65, 353, 446, 495, 572. The balance of the lot contains some stars as well and a load of secondary stars and specials, with 1 Koufax LL, 21 Berra, 29 Brock, 155 Snider, 260 F. Robinson, 287 Conigliaro RC, 390 Cepeda, 531 Dodgers TC, 550 Ken Hubbs, 579 Red Sox TC. The centering and quality of these cards really is remarkable.
