Offered is a generally well centered and very clean near set of 1962 Topps cards. Unfortunately, an unknown percentage of cards have had color added at the tips (likely less than 15% but we are not certain). We did review every star card in the lot, they looked fine to us, and are as follows: 1 Maris Ex+, 5 Koufax Ex, 10 Clemente Ex++, 45 B Robby Ex+, 100 Spahn Ex+, 139.3 Hal Reniff RC Pit Ex+, 140 Ruth/Gehrig Ex++, 251 Yanks TC Ex-Mt, 310 Ford Ex++, 313 Maris IA Ex, 318 Mantle IA Ex+ ctd, 340 Drysdale Ex, 394 Aaron AS VG-Ex/Ex, 395 Mays AS Ex+, 401 Cepeda/Maris VG-Ex/Ex ctd, 471 Mantle AS VG-Ex/Ex, 537 Indians Team Ex, 545 Wilhelm SP VG-Ex/Ex, 575 Schoendienst SP Ex, 584 Twins Team Ex-Mt+, 593 Rookie Pitchers Ex, 595 Infielders SP Ex, 597 Menke RC SP VG-Ex/Ex, 598 Hickman RC Ex. Despite these issues, this lot has many very nice cards and is a solid foundation for a clean set and should also have an excellent breakdown value. We grade the lot Ex overall, there is some mild variance.
