Listing Details

A very special piece, this is from July 7, 1916 and is fully penned by Honus Wagner himself on the reverse. The postcard itself is apparently quite rare, it has a very funny color image titled Han's Wagner and his young recruits at Dawson Springs, Ky. Wagner is unmistakeable in the center, wearing the same funny hat as the kids. This is dated July 7, 1916 by Wagner and he mentions 1895 and the possible start of his career. The reverse has some damage, including to parts of the text. This is signed JH Wagner in flawless ink, PSA rated the autograph an 8. We could only find one sale of even an unsigned postcard (and that was in 2005!), this looks to be a truly special and possibly unique Honus Wagner item.
