Listing Details

The official but not necessarily true founder of baseball, Doubleday also fired the first shot in the Civil War at Fort Sumter in 1860. Offered is an unusual Abner Doubleday signed piece, this is a letter of recommendation for a Collector position, signed by several people. Doubleday's autograph is the third down on the left side. A solid and attractive signature, the letter displays well. Artfully matted and framed, this checks in at 19x19. JSA LOA (full).
