One of the most infamous figures in early American history, Burr famously killed Alexander Hamilton in a duel in 1804. The offered lot is an undated letter written to an B. Akin inviting Mr. Akin and his family to the theatre. The letter measures 5x8 and has typical staining, foxing and general wear from age. Signed A. Burr at the close, there is toning/staining on the signature, but is more than distinct and fully legible. Artfully matted and framed with various items, the total size is 25x15. JSA LOA (full).
