A very interesting item, this is a large format cardboard broadside for a Negro League game between the Kansas City Monarchs and the Chicago American Giants. Satchel Paige headlined the game, and appears on the left side of the sign. We believe this game was played on July 4, 1941 based on a program that we found on the internet but we are not certain. The sign retains good color and is a sturdy cardboard piece. This has many closed tears and some chips, this could benefit from some restoration if desired but is a touch fragile and needs to be handled with care. Potentially quite rare, this was in a very advanced collection for decades and is fresh to the hobby.
