A classic Bowman set, this is an honest VG to VG-Ex set. The cards display well, creasing is present but does not tend to track the paper. The cards have an attractive uniform look, this was clearly collected with care. The cards get a bit nicer as the set progresses, with many clean high numbers. Anchored by key cards of Mantle and Mays, we rate these as follows: 1 Berra Good, 5 Minoso RC VG+, 8 Reese VG, 21 N Fox GVG, 43 Feller VG+ mk, 44 Campanella VG+, 52 Rizzuto VG-Ex/Ex, 53 Ashburn VG+, 80 Hodges VG-Ex/Ex, 101 Mantle PSA 2(rich color, white borders, light creasing), 116 Snider VG-Ex/Ex, 156 Spahn VG-Ex/Ex, 196 Musial PSA 4, 217 Stengel VG+, 218 Mays PSA AA (not sure of issue), 232 Slaughter Ex+, 252 Crosetti VG.
