An extremely rare Ty Cobb card, there are only three sales in any grade on VCP going back to 2014! The most recent sale was for an SGC 1.5 ($9000 on 8/16/2020). There are just five on the PSA population report (including the offered lot). A very cool set that may have only been issued regionally, any card from this set is scarce, much less the Ty Cobb. For example, a Joe Tinker in an SGC 2 brought $3,750 in late 2024. Freshly slabbed and new to the market, this card grades a 1 due to scraping by the bottom border, some creasing and general wear. The image of Cobb retains vivid color and displays well. The back is actually particularly clean and nice. It is not every day that a Ty Cobb period card of this rarity comes to market, this should be an extremely popular lot in the auction. Great card!
