One of the last 1940s era cards of the beloved Lou Gehrig, these were issued in strips and for whatever reason, almost always have major condition and cutting issues. Any card from this set is rare in an 8, the Gehrig is the key card to the issue. Razor sharp and beautifully cut beyond the contact line, this is a world class exemplar. Fully worthy of the Nm-Mt 8, this is superb sharp and clean throughout. As for the population report, this is a pop 1/2 with only two higher. This is a card that just does not come to market in this quality, it should be a very popular lot.
