Very interesting item, this is a beautifullu preserved letter that appears to be a document. Ornately noted Executive Mansion at the top, this is writted by President Johnson to his Secretary of the Navy Gideon Welles. Johnson asks for Welles's annual report on the Navy for a message to Congress. Signed in solid dark, this is elegantly matted and framed to a total size of 20x16. JSA LOA (full).
