Lot #19 1954 Topps # 128 Hank Aaron RC Cond: PSA 8

Hank Aaron's sad death last year brought a new found appreciation of his unbelievably great career and also his tremendous humanity. A truly great person in every way, his key cards have exploded in price, something long overdue, since the beginning of last year. The Rookie Card is of course the key Hank Aaron card! One of the most beautiful 1950s baseball cards, Topps did such a great job designing this instant classic card. Aaron Rookies are not rare, but they are awfully hard to find in PSA 8 holders. The offered lot has an absolutely gorgeous image. The color is superb, the borders are white, the face of the card is immaculate. The back, with its very condition sensitive color borders, is immaculate as well. The corners all come to sharp points, this has solid centering. A cornerstone baseball card, these have been appreciating steadily through all of the recent public sales, it will be interesting to see where these trade at in the coming years. This card has everything going for it in today?s market.
