Lot #21 1912 Major League Baseball Game - Stunning Quality

One of the very best of all vintage baseball games, this is a cornerstone piece. Produced by the Philadelphia Game Manufacturing company in a sturdy custom wood case, this measures just over 19 x 13 x 3. The cover has fantastic graphic images of sixteen top baseball players from 1912. You may have heard of some of them: Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner, Walter Johnson, Christy Mathewson, Tris Speaker, Nap Lajoie and Frank Chance among others. This has some general wear, but the condition appears to be truly remarkable. It is our understanding that this is one of the very nicest examples of this great game in circulation, but of course cannot confirm this. The interior of the game looks great, we believe this to be complete with all parts but are not 100% sure. We can assure you however, this is a visually stunning, truly museum quality piece of early 20th century baseball memorabilia. So much nicer than a single tobacco card that can sell for $10,000 or more, this treasure has images of no less than eleven HOFers on the cover, including some of the absolute top players in all of baseball history. This is truly superb as for star content, visual appeal and condition.
