Lot #287 Photo Klein, Chuck Cond: 9

A cult favorite, 1930s Phillies HOFer Chuck Klein died in 1958 at only age 53 and is missing from most autograph collections. Klein sometimes comes around on a GPC, his autograph is rare on a photo of this size. Offered is a fine looking 6 x 9.5 Burk's Frankfurter premium. This is on thick paper stock, not quite cardboard, but definitely could be considered a baseball card. The piece offers a huge image of Klein batting and is signed in bold blue fountain pen ink above his facsimile signature. This has been folded at one time and has some general wear but displays quite well overall. Very nice. JSA LOA (full).
