A run that you hardly ever see, this is almost a full run for the first ten years of this venerable baseball publication. With many fun covers, the 1940s issues are as follows: 1942 (3), 1943 (9), 1944 (10), 1945 (9), 1946 (9), 1947 (9), 1948 (11) and 1949 (11). An excellent value lot, there have been two public sales of the first issue for $500 in recent years, some of other issues can be $20 to $30 each but there is tape on the cover of the first issue in this lot.
