Produced from original artwork by artist Dvorak, this is perhaps Mickey Mantle’s most iconic baseball card. Only his second Topps card, these are always desirable and have always been very expensive. For these reasons, signed examples of a 1953 Topps Mantle card have always been particularly hard to find and special. The offered card is well centered with a nice image of a so young Mantle, the card itself probably grades GVG to VG (there is hardly any creasing, there is corner wear and some general wear, the back is clean). The autograph is in ballpoint ink. Mickey signed this in a perfect spot, the autograph contrasts nicely against the card. PSA graded the autograph an 8 and slabbed this as such, who wants to add a simply great Mickey Mantle signed card to their collection?
