Lot #17 1932 U.S. Caramel # 32 Babe Ruth Cond: PSA 1

A vital Babe Ruth card from the 1930s, these are revered by 1930s gum card collectors. Quite scarce, these always bring big prices at auction. The offered card was freshly slabbed at the National and punches well above its weight. Well centered, this has a beautiful image, good color and excellent eye appeal. The corner wear is very mild, the borders look good. The back is perfectly clean. Creasing is present on the front center of the card, but it does not crack the paper, nor is it visible on the back. We feel PSA was more than harsh with the 1 grade here, the winning bidder should really enjoy this extremely conservatively graded card.
