Lot #26 1955 Stahl-Meyer Mickey Mantle Cond: PSA 1 mc

One the neatest and coolest of all Mickey Mantle oddball issues from the 1950s, these are revered by collectors. Always scarce and in extreme demand, these do seem like utter bargains relative to his widely produced Topps and Bowman cards. Cut to the top border, the offered lot has a classic color image of a smiling young Mickey Mantle. The front of the card just has some faint creasing and slight staining. The yellow borders look good, the edges are reasonably crisp and clean. The back has some minute scraping in the color borders and general wear in spots. The reverse retains good color and displays pretty well overall. An honest lower grade example of a key 1950s Mickey Mantle scarcity, the last public sale was for a PSA 1 for $10,269 on 1/11/2025.
