Lot #14 1939 World Wide Gum Ted Williams Rookie Card (extremely rare) PSA 1.5
Offered is a rare and important card of the incredible Ted Williams. Issued in 1939 in Canada, this is indescribably rarer than this 1939 Play Ball card. Freshly slabbed, we have only had a few of these in our 30+ years in the hobby. A very attractive card, the larger format allows for terrific display value. A sepia toned card, the image has perfect contrast. The corners come to points, the borders are clean, as is the back. A crease keeps this at a 1.5. In terms of public sales, there are only two going back to 2013! This card is so rare that is almost considered unattainable by most collectors, the offered lot represents a great opportunity to pick up the Rookie Card of perhaps the greatest hitter in all of baseball history. This card has everything going for it, do not assume another one of these will be coming to market anytime soon!
Winning bid: $1500.00
